Prof Neharika Vohra – IIM Ahmedabad, who was a part of team with Biz Divas for research report says that we should be proud of India’s diversity. So many languages, dialects, religions, communities, only India can a of such diversity and tolerance. We have been traders all around the world but have never been colonizers.

Diversity is natural. It’s okay to be different.

There is also resistance to any change in status quo like why bother?

It’s only been a decade that managers have started taking note of diversity and inclusion. Though diversity and inclusion are often paired together. Achieving diversity is a practical, technical problem like attracting people. Inclusion is all about mind set. It’s a process. Inclusion is an adaptive and complex problem.

Diversity is easy to ,measure.

The question to ask is – are we driving diversity to get inclusion and all the benefits of diversity?

“Women” is the most obvious group to talk about on diversity.

The method used was interviews. 21 organizations participated. Quite a few industries got represented.
